Inspired by this experience, we've committed to making regular donations to help ease some of their difficulties.

At Sunflowerly, our belief in "Spread Happiness" goes far beyond our personalized themed gifts. We understand that happiness is not just for recipients and givers, facilitated through meaningful gifts, it's about the actions we take to bring joy and support to our community. That's why we recently embarked on a heartwarming journey to the Thanh Tam Shelter in Hanoi, Vietnam, to make a meaningful impact and create lasting memories.

A Visit Filled with Love and Laughter

Our day at Thanh Tam Shelter overflowed with affection, laughter, and heartfelt hugs. Located on the campus of Xuy Xa Parish Church, My Duc district, Hanoi, this shelter is home to 30 orphaned, abandoned, and congenitally disabled children, along with 7 helpless elderly individuals. The shelter's residents, diverse in their backgrounds, are testament to the unparalleled love and care provided by the committed nuns. Remarkably, even as one among these nuns battles stage 2 cancer, their collective dedication never wavers.

Brightening Their Day

Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the radiant smiles of the children, whose ages ranged from a two-month-old infant to toddlers and youngsters diagnosed with Down syndrome, autism, and mild epilepsy. Some of these children had heartbreaking stories, with a few abandoned at the shelter's doorstep and others found discarded in trash bins, rescued by the compassionate nuns. The nuns also provide refuge to teenage mothers, forsaken by partners unwilling to accept responsibility. Despite the daunting adversities they've faced, these children were astonishingly open-hearted, friendly, and affectionate. Their embrace was genuine, their joy unmistakably real.

Providing Essential Support and Bringing Joy

Our visit extended beyond spending quality time with the children; we also delivered crucial daily necessities, including food, rice, dairy products, diapers, and a significant monetary contribution to support the shelter's operations. Engaging in play, heartfelt conversations, and creating cherished memories with these remarkable young souls was a profound experience. Witnessing their radiant smiles in response to our donations was truly heartwarming, and the connection we forged was invaluable.

A Beacon of Love and Support

The nuns at the helm of the shelter are genuine heroes, epitomizing the essence of motherhood as they nurture these children with unwavering love and boundless kindness. We've listened to incredible success stories emerge from this haven. Some of the children have blossomed into accomplished individuals who've pursued higher education in Belgium. Others have embarked on diverse academic journeys and are self-sufficient in caring for themselves.

Our Commitment to Spreading Happiness

Our visit to Thanh Tam Shelter signifies our ongoing commitment to spreading happiness. We plan to make regular contributions to ease their challenges and brighten their days, strengthening our dedication to embodying our core values. We believe that happiness is a shared journey. Together, through every action, from sharing love with family and friends to bringing smiles to those around us, we can make a difference and continue to bring joy and support to those in need.
